What do you get when you cross a misquito with a mouintan climber?

The one problem, I've found, with having very diverse variety of friends, is that I tend to make comments (most often jokes) that refrence the intrests of several of these groups, but then I'm the only one that gets it. What I mean is, I'll make a joke relating the current political situation to somehting from a science fiction story. However, my nerdy friends won't get the political refrence, and my more politically minded frineds won't get the sci-fi refrence. :-\
